The LJ12A3-4-Z/EX is a non-contact inductive proximity switch designed for reliable metal object detection in industrial automation systems. Operating on 12-36V DC power supply, this sensor features a compact M12 cylindrical housing (12mm diameter) that enables flexible installation in space-constrained applications.
Functioning as a two-wire normally open device, the sensor maintains an open circuit state in idle conditions. When ferrous metals (iron, steel, etc.) enter its 4mm detection range, the internal circuit activates within 1ms response time to generate output signals. The stainless steel housing with epoxy potting achieves IP67 protection rating, providing robust resistance against oil contamination, dust ingress, and moisture exposure.
